How do you know when a movie is good....

...when you can't stop thinking about it. My mom recommended this movie to me- The Boy In The Striped Pajamas. I must admit that I was pretty skeptical at first because I'm not too into history. The movie is about a young boy who is 8 years old and his father runs a concentration camp. When he is forced into moving he is faced with solitude and loneliness. One day he goes out exploring and he finds a young boy, who is his age, on the other side of the fence. I won't tell anymore... just watch this movie. If you enjoy watching movies that will choke you up and make you want to cry you will enjoy this film.

Fab. movie ! Those boys are going to go far !
My parents went through WW2, my father was an armorer-fitter for the Spitfires in England while my mom managed a hotel.
My parents are now gone but left me with memories of their younger lives, the war years, etc...I even have a few photos of a camp my dad and other men went into to help remove the rest of the POW's. It's like looking at another world, and it really happened.
Our son, he's 13, and I saw this movie. It's a reminder that even children weren't spared. My heart broke.
We talked about it once it ended, and our son does not want to see that kind of a life.
